The Snowden Bridge Activities Committee brought back its tradition of an outdoor family movie night in the community to celebrate and wrap up summer break. Held on the lawn beside the pavilion and playground, a large outdoor movie screen is set up, and community members are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks to enjoy a movie under the stars. This year’s event was held on Friday, August 22, and the movie selection was Disney’s “Mufasa.” Years past included titles like “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “Dumbo,” and “The Greatest Showman.”
Outdoor movie nights have been something families have looked forward to year after year, and the turnout tends to be a good one. Flyers for these types of activities and others are created, and then shared to the community from the front office and the activities committee via email, apps and Facebook. Those interested in being part of the activities committee can contact the front office for more information.
